Learning to decrease or stop drinking, use of drugs, and/or addictive behaviors can be challenging, which is why this program comes with 24/7/365 phone support from the New Mexico Crisis and Access Line. Call takers have been trained in the program and are available to help you navigate challenges including:
- Feeling overwhelmed for any reason
- Accessing professional treatment
- Avoiding relapse
- Identifying local community resources
- Discussing feelings of depression, anxiety, or being alone
- Finding local self-help meetings
- Accessing prescribers of addiction and psychiatric medications
- Getting help with house, food, safety
- Connecting with a doctor, dentist, or other healthcare professional
If you are interested in talking with someone who has lived experiences with alcohol, other drugs, and/or addictive behaviors, then use the Peer Phone Support.
